Course database Development

The department has developed an online database of courses which will contain all relevant information at the course and program level for instructors, students and education research. The rationale is to provide a long-term easily accessed repository of data pertaining to our courses, quality control on student learning, a web-based simple-to-use tool for course designers and modifiers, and a guide for new faculty. The database will include course descriptions, learning goals at the course and lecture level, calendars of lectures, lecture notes and resources, assignments, examinations, diagnostic tests, results and analyses. The database was developed by IT staff members Gerry Grieve, Ron Parachoniak, and Mary Ann Potts, with input from a number of faculty.
